Jordyn Cook Epilepsy Fund

The Cook Family Charitable Fund was created with the goal of educating people about and erasing the stigma of epilepsy. Since its inception, The Cook Family and their friends have increased the Fund’s reach to include assisting people with addiction issues and cancer. Team Jordyn has walked in the Epilepsy Walk for Boston for the past 13 years. We look forward to having a strong team again this year. The Cook Family is grateful to all the friends and family members that come out and walks with Jordyn on a beautiful day for an amazing cause.

Please give what you can and join us on May 12th.

Thank you, Peter Cook, Jr.

Jord_Cook NewLogoThe Cook family started The Jordyn Cook Epilepsy Fund in 2006. The decision to raise money for Epilepsy came from a deep desire to have resources available so that the community could learn in minutes what took the Cook’s six years. Jordyn’s inspiring Epileptologist, neurologist, Elizabeth Thiele of Mass General Hospital was already beginning an educational website in partnership with WGBH, “Growing up with Epilepsy”. She just hadn’t found a partner to fund the site.It was the Jordyn Cook Epilepsy Fund’s first pledge; $350,000 which was to be the sole funding source of the site.

The Growing up with Epilepsy site went live in 2006.

Having recognized other needs in our community, The Jordyn Cook Epilepsy Fund became The Cook Family Charitable Fund on January 1, 2016.
